That's why when I came back to work, I found a lot of old news and activities that were still fresh for me. One of the announcements was a new version of TailRank that includes a feature which shows you an archive of blog posts, like tech.tailrank.com/archive for an archive of what the blogosphere has been discussion on technology. This has helped me not miss what I could have read had I been online at the time.
So here are some of the interesting things I could have missed:
The Berte Blog published a tutorial on SearchWith extension (Oct 3)
It's always great when you see some you have never met feel so inspired by your productand write some documentation on it with screenshots. But for some reason, the link is not working, so for now, you can only view the Google Cache version.
I found this surprising because I was starting to believe that Google only buys companies whose products they don't have alternatives to. Like Paul Graham, I thought Google would keep iterating until their products or was number one. To me, this has therefore proved that startups can out-do Google.
MCCCI and ICTAM hosted an ICT Fair (Oct 12-13)
The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the ICT Association of Malawi hosted a two day ICT Exhibition at Capital Hotel in Lilongwe from 12th - 13th October. Among the presentations, my colleague Mike McKay used SearchWith extension as an example in his talk on Free and Open Source Software in Malawi.
TNM has indeed been releasing new services frequently. Mangaliso looks at how they have dominated the SMS applications in Malawi.
On the other hand, Celtel Malawi has announced another network upgrade completion date (31st October?). According to earlier announcements, they had already completed the same upgrade some months ago, or did I get it wrong?
Interesting news keeps flowing, like the release of Internet Explorer7 and Firefox 2 and other tech news that I'll be commenting on.Now, regular blogging has resumed and the wedding ring seems to have improved my typing speed and accuracy. I'm also finalising new enhancements that some SearchWith users requested, so expect a small bugfix update soon followed by a major upgrage of the extension later. You can rest assured that the upgrade will not be like Celtel Malawi's recent one(s).

WOW Congrats on the Wedding :D
Thanks kmf.
Looks like we are about to welcome you to the club!
Soyapi,
Congrats on your wedding. I was in my room browsing on the Web and something just popped up in my mind to check your blog and I later on drifted to your flickr website. It seems the wedding was great. Please tell Donald that I saw him and greet him for me.
Keep on blogging,
Bennett
I liked the Flickr pics of your wedding!
Soyapi,
Congrats. I expect a post on the wedding and ICT. Of course don't forget to include your honeymoon experiences! Proud of you! May God overshadow you with his love and presence as you move on in marriage.
